Following the recent sale of another Riley Kestrel to the Czech Republic, we’re delighted to welcome this beautifully proportioned 1938 six-light Riley 12/ 4 Kestrel back to us.
This car is particularly rare being one of the final series and differing from earlier models by the slatted radiator grill and lack of louvres on the bonnet sides, along with the straight bumpers.
The car has been owned by several Riley enthusiasts who have improved it in recent years and it now presents extremely well as an older restoration.
It is fitted with the manual three-speed gearbox with overdrive; which has been rebuilt in recent times.
Finished in classic BRG paintwork she presents very well and the upholstery was renewed at some point in the past and is extremely good. However, a small repair is required on the driver’s seat.
Documentation includes a Buff RF60 log book dating back to 1953 and numerous bills along with information on the gear box rebuild.
