Description
This is my ZT 160+ which I have owned for the last 2 years, having had 6 owners prior to me.
Showing 53, 840 miles, backed up by MoT history, having a new MoT to 03/ 04/ 2027 with no advisories. I have a large history file, which includes the detailed history of it being recommissioned by the previous owner in 2021. It had been in dry storage for 6 years following the death of the 5th owner. The work included timing belts and pulleys, water pump, thermostat and water pipes and new vis motors. Six months after the work was completed it suffered a catastrophic engine failure, a 42, 000 mile replacement engine was sourced, it had new timing belts, all the other bits listed above transferred over. It also had fitted a new clutch kit with slave cylinder and release bearing. I have done just over 2, 000 miles without any fault or expense, I have renewed the oil and filter a year ago despite the low mileage.
It has the following upgrades, Leather and Red Alcantara seats, remapped to 180 spec, bigger ZT 190 front calipers with new grooved and vented disc's all round, Powerflow custom S/ S exhaust from cat back. Hard wired Nextbase dash camera and Tom Tom go sat. nav. both to come with car.
The bodywork is very straight and the British Racing Green paint is very good, the previous owner had some paint correction done to high standard, but you wouldn't know. There is no sign of rust anywhere, including underneath.
The personal registration plate will remain on the car when sold. I was blown away with the condition of this car when I saw at the 2023 Post Abingdon show and bought it when I saw it advertised 2024. The 160+ is probably the rarest model of those left on the road today. This one being remapped to 180 along with the silky smooth KV6 engine is an absolute pleasure to drive. Everything works as you would expect for such a relatively low mileage car. Whilst it is not a concours car, it is in exceptional condition and always receives positive comments at shows. I would go to say it may even be the best 160 in the country that I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere or any distance.
The car featured in the February 2024 MG Enthusiast magazine with the previous owner. I am a member of the MG Car Club and MGOC and the car is well known in both. The current mileage may well go up, as I will continue to use for runs and shows until it is sold.
I'm in no hurry to sell and will not accept silly offers, as I'm sure the first person to view and try it (subject to suitable insurance cover, otherwise I will drive it for the viewer) will buy.
So sadly, for me, and due to a change in personal circumstances, the time has come for a new owner to enjoy this lovely car.
Thank you for looking at my ad. but please note if you ring me and I don't answer, please leave a message and contact number and I will call you back as soon as I can.
