1988 VW Golf MK1 Convertible 1. 8 Clipper Manual Easy Restoration Project
The time has come to part with my 1988 mk1 Golf. I've owned it for almost 10 years. It's been off the road up until last year where I got it back running and MOT'd. In that time it has had:
Gear Box refurbishment
New gear linkage
Brake cylinders
Refurb Starter motor
Service and carb set up (Webber carb).
Window mechanism fixed.
New suspension strut.
My intention was to finish off the exterior issues and use it for shows etc but unfortunately that never happened.
The car has just run out of MOT
This is a great solid car and ready for someone to show it the love it deserves and finish the restoration. The car needs new tyres, some paint work refresh as it does have some little rust bubbles.
The interior is in good condition for a near 40 year old car. It has red leather seats, rear seat have had seat belts fitted for safety. Some Wolfsburg bit (gear knob, door locks) radio cd player. Silver mirrors, aux gauge cluster, stainless exhaust. See pics
Comes with a folder of invoices and 2 keys
Would make ideal summer restoration project.
