This is my Mk1 Fiesta Mk1 1100 S. It’s a left-hand drive example imported from France in 2024 and fully UK registered with all taxes paid. It’s a Nov 1976 car originally registered in Jan 77, so very early indeed. It has some interesting early feature like a different bonnet stay and rear suspension arms.
I drove this car home from near Cannes and it didn't miss a beat.
I would describe it as a tidy survivor car. It’s very original car with some very light knocks, a couple of tiny rust bubbles and evidence of paint touch ups, but is very solid indeed. There is no evidence to suggest it’s ever been welded - it’s spent a good few years in the south of France. It’s only had two owners prior to import, and though I can’t prove the mileage, French CT history (MoT) shows the car had covered 11, 000kms in 1995. Given that it had the same owner until 2021, it would’ve meant a big change in driving habits for it to have gone round the clock, and I don't believe it has. Certainly the engine is very smooth and uses no oil. Even it if has been round, that's the equivalent of 80, 000 miles.
Inside the trim is all original. The dash is cracked, a door bin is missing and the drivers seat foam has crumbled a bit under the seat cover. However, there are no tears on the seats. It has rear speakers fitted using correct Ford brackets. The headlining is excellent.
It drives nicely, and comes with a set of RS replica wheels with new tyres. It also has its original Ghia style alloys, which were an option on the S and were fitted when new.
It will come with a set of NOS Monroe dampers that I sourced in Germany. The car was MoT’d on the chassis number as the import paperwork was being completed and passed with no issues. I fitted RHD headlamps. I can supply an RHD bulkhead if the new owner wants it.
It’s not a mint example but it’s a very early car, and a genuine S. ideal for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fiesta! I'm only selling due to lack of space.
