A lovely example of an iconic car.
This 1984 Classic mini has been carefully backdated to re create the early cooper look. Connaught green, old English white roof and stripes. 10" rose petal wheels and an early centre speedo to complete the look.
The mini was extensively restored in 2024, a full bare metal restoration, with any hint of corrosion removed and new panels welded in. Resprayed inside and out. Every component was inspected, rebuilt or replaced with new.
It has been fitted with the desirable metro 1275 A+ engine, this was rebuilt prior to fitting including, rebore, new pistons, rebuilt head, bearings, clutch replaced etc. Less than 1000 miles covered since the rebuild.
Underneath has had the same treatment as the rest of the car, stone chipped body and powder coated subframes. Bushes, steering rack, hubs, brakes and fuel system have all been replaced with new.
The short metro 3. 44 final drive, paired with the hp of the metro engine (very similar to a cooper S), and go kart handling make it great fun and characterful to drive.
The interior has a new headlining, carpets, colour matched custom door cards and early centre speedo. Purchased in 2023 after many years off the road.
It then began extensive restoration to reach its current form.
A now factory fresh example, ready for another 40+ years of use.
