Toyota Starlet Sportif Si Limited Edition.
Toyota's Starlet Sportif Si is a very elusive model which was originally offered new between 1996 through to 1997 as a limited edition model based on the standard Sportif with upgrades. This was the first sporty model offered on the EP91 series Starlet in the United Kingdom.
The Si came equipped with a subtle package of selected parts that were being offered as optional extras on the Sportif and CD model however with the Sportif Si all these features came as standard, The package included the thirteen inch three spoke Toyota alloy wheels, Colour coded rear roof spoiler along with a complete set of four mud guards plus the addition of Si decals unique to the Starlet Sportif Si.
The condition of this Si is simply remarkable. She has been cherished by her previous owner of eighteen years and kept garaged the entire time and this is very clear on inspection. The previous owner always used Marston MOT Centre in Frome and this is where the Starlet would go for all annual MOT'S and servicing in there ownership.
The exterior body work is in excellent condition with the odd small mark and imperfection with the biggest notable area being the rear spoiler where the lacquer has failed over the twenty nine years. The interior again is in excellent condition and really shows how well this low mileage example has been looked after with the only drawback being a small split in the fabric on the side of the drivers seat which is the only area that needs noted. Original ashtray and cigarette lighter have never been used. underbody of the Starlet is again incredible, all original unrestored condition, Both sills, arches, suspension mounts and boot floor all remain free of any corrosion. The MOT history of this Starlet is incredible and to find any car of this age with one as impressive is rare. Nearly 30 years of anual MOT's, not one has ever been recorded as a fail, and more incredibly only ever one advisory for a split wiperblade back in 2006! The 4EFE engine totaling 68 thousand miles and with the extensive yearly servicing this particular Starlet has had makes this engine feel and run like new.
Original service book, owners manual, sales brouchures and maintenance history are all present. MOT and full service completed on July 2nd 2025. Genuine optional extra headlight protectors fitted, Original cassette player and optional extra six disc CD changer as featured in the options catalogue. Three keys and original Toyota keyrings are there. Original spare tyre remains in unused condition and is dated 1997. The jack and tool set again unused. P339BDD was first registered to a Mr Price on December the 31st 1997. Finished in the highly desirable metallic Azure blue. He ordered the Starlet from Frontline Toyota (3 Ramsdale road Gloucester) Power steering was Standerd across the entire Starlet range at the time, it was in fact optional not to have power steering fitted which Mr Price decided to go for adding to the allready sporty feel that accompanied the Si. The Starlet resided with Mr Price for the next eight years and he covered 30526 miles in his ownership when he part exchanged the Starlet for a Yaris T Sport at Platinum Toyota Throwbridge in Wiltshire. The Si was then listed as a Managers Special and this is the Toyota garage which the number plates and main dealer stickers represent along with a Toyota unopened complementary air freshener. Sold soon after in December 2005 to a Miss PXXX who had the Starlet for the next eighteen years untill her passing. Cherished and extremely well looked after by herself and a family owned garage the entire time.
I purchased the Si in July 2023 with 61500 miles. In my ownership I have fitted 4 new toyo tyres and continued her servicing and MOTs only being out over the summer months and garaged.
This Si is a extremely rare original model which will only ever become more popular in time.
