Description
Ideally, I want to swap for a 1930's sports tourer or drophead - Riley, MG, Alvis, Lagonda, etc. Cash available. This is one of the best RV8's in the UK and presented in the best colour - nightfire red. It is a rare car in this condition and mileage and even rarer in this colour. The car is in excellent condition throughout and just sailed through it's MOT on 9th April 2026. It was originally supplied to Japan and re-imported in 1999 and the MGR registration stays with the car. It is all original apart from the important addition of Power steering making it a lovely car to drive. The paintwork is near perfect with no rust, dents or scratches - it is a very beautiful car. Mechanically excellent, its tarts and stops as it should and sounds amazing with that V8 burble. The interiors is excellent with no sagging of the driver's seat (an MG RV8 failing) and the correct MG carpets and mats. The dashboard is perfect and enhanced by chrome surrounds to the dials which all work properly. There is some minor cracking to the laminate on the door cappings but this is only visible in certain lights and doesn't detract from the beautiful cabin. There is an unused tonneau and wind deflector and the hood is in excellent condition. The car comes with a space saver spare plus a full size alloy spare. There is a full history with the car, including all the MOTs which verify the low mileage. There is also a file of receipts for servicing and work done. The car has had the brakes serviced and a new battery in the last year.
