Today the car is in excellent condition. No non-original parts have been used. The chrome work is original and has been refurbished. The engine has been overhauled by an experienced engine builder and is faultless. It runs magnificently and has been perfectly tuned. This specimen is a roadster delivered new to its first owner in Zurich on 5 November 1951. It is accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming its authenticity and its history. Its owner imported it to France in 1960 and kept it until 2017, the next‑to‑last owner kept it until December 2022. Imported into Belgium, it is currently under all the required care and monitored by a recognised Jaguar specialist. During its restoration, the car was kept as original as possible. No non-original parts were used. The chrome is original and has been refurbished. The engine has been overhauled by an experienced engine builder and is faultless. It runs magnificently and has been perfectly tuned. The extra punch provided by the Type‑C head gives it a pleasant degree of power and smoothness (210 bhp). Its handling is exactly what one expects from this kind of car and, in fact, a pleasure to drive. There are no unwanted noises. The gearbox is pleasant to use. The prudent decision of the first owner to order this XK120 with right-hand drive makes it absolutely charming today. In addition to being such a rare model, when you are inside you feel like slicing through the air in a proper English car. Every trip you take there carries the scent of old England and its green countryside. The combination of leather colours and metallic blue paint is particularly effective and highlights the car’s elegant lines.
