I am offering for sale my MGT TF LE500, number 350 of just 500 produced. First registered in 2009, the car is in good condition with low mileage and has been in my ownership for over eight years. Prior to me it has had 4 previous keepers. It has been well maintained throughout, with a comprehensive file of invoices and receipts included.
These later models benefited from many upgrades, most notably the resolution of the head‑gasket issues that plagued earlier MG-Rover K-Series engines. Both the hard top and soft top feature glass rear screens, and a wind deflector was included as standard. The suspension was also revised to be more compliant, providing a far more comfortable ride.
Notable work completed includes new clutch and slave cylinder, cambelt and water pump, and stainless-steel rear exhaust.
As you would expect from a car of this age, there are a few minor marks, dings, and stone chips, all of which I have tried to highlight in the photographs. Overall, however, the car presents very well and is a pleasure to drive.
The sale includes the hard top and tonneau cover, both supplied with custom storage bags. A selection of additional spares is also included, such as the specific air conditioning condenser for this model (please note that the air conditioning is currently not operational).
The car is fitted with an aftermarket touchscreen head unit featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and DAB radio. The original factory radio will also be included. An additional set of headlights is included in the sale, and I am happy to refit the original rear lights if the standard look is preferred.
The spare wheel is present and was simply removed for the photos.
The private registration is not included. The car benefits from a very clean MOT history, which I invite you to check. Current MOT runs until 12 October 2026.
It's mainly been driven in the summer and garaged throughout my ownership.
Overall, this is a very presentable, usable, and enjoyable example of a collectable model — ideal for summer motoring and beyond. I bought this vehicle as my first ever convertible - I wasn't sure if I would keep it beyond the summer. Here we are nearly 9 years later. No, it's not the fastest car out there but it is really nimble and fun to drive. I have decided to rationalise my collection so it's time for someone else to have fun in the sun!
