Description

It is with a heavy heart that I sell my beautiful Jaguar X Type diesel sport that I purchased back in March 2021.
Due to family commitments I find myself having to purchase an estate car, so this lovely car has to be sold.
I spent a long time looking for a manual 2. 2 litre diesel saloon, and when this one came up I paid over the odds to get it, because of its low mileage, (57, 050 miles at the time) great condition and fantastic interior.
Since acquiring this car 5 years ago I have only put a further 8, 000 miles on the odo' , (about 1500 miles per year), nearly all longish journeys over 75 miles, so it's not been used for town work or trips to the shops. It only goes out when the sun shines, but I have been caught in the odd shower in it, but wet or dry it gets valeted or washed every time it is used.
It has never let me down. always starts, doesn't use any oil, and has had regular servicing both before I had it, and in my ownership.
Here is what I have done maintenance wise:-
15/ 04/ 21 2 x new front tyres, (Bridgestones)   57, 394m
15/ 10/ 21 Eng. Oil & filter, air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter, gearbox oil renewed.                  58, 262m
17/ 10/ 22 Eng. Oil & filter.           59, 586m
18/ 10/ 23 Eng. Oil & filter            61, 396m
08/ 04/ 24 2 x new rear tyres, (Davanti) & 4 wheel alignment
                        61, 906m
10/ 05/ 24 Front N/ S wheel bearing replaced.   61, 925m
11/ 07/ 24 Front wheel alignment checked. (For above)
                        62, 878m
23/ 07/ 24 Front & Rear discs & pads renewed. (Brembo)
                        62, 883m
13/ 10/ 24 Oil & Filter changed.         63, 281m
14/ 02/ 25 All auxiliary belts changed.      63, 535m
27/ 10/ 25 Oil & Filter + Fuel filter changed    64, 757m

The car currently needs no work, has an MOT until March 2027.

Only defects are some minor damage to the front splitter, and a small indentation to the n/ side of the rear bumper. The splitter damage was caused by previous owner(s) - this is a very low car, and I'm very embarrassed to say that I damaged the bumper by reversing into a 2 foot high bollard in the carpark at Cadwell park racing circuit in Lincolnshire whilst holidaying there in 2024. There are some very tiny scratches here and there, but they have to be hunted down, and there is a small bit of micro blistering on the front n/ s wheel arch and adjacent bumper. Strange, but hardly noticeable and definitely not a rust issue. See photographs.
Road Tax is currently £265 per annum, and 52 mpg is easily achievable on the A and B roads this car so loves. Climbing into this car is just such a fantastic experience, from the beautifully finished and supremely comfortable full leather seats to the immaculate carbon fibre dash. Whilst it might not be Bentley levels of luxury, it still is a Jaguar, don't let anybody say its a posh Ford. It stands out for its unique and charming looks amongst the hoards of boring cars on the road today.
Because it's the "Sport" model, it is rarer in having full leather, most came with half leather, but it is surprisingly simple for a car of this class. Something I think is a bonus, as I don't like the jeopardy modern electronics put you in.
It features, Non DAB radio/ cd player , air conditioning, variable speed wipers, electric windows, electric drivers seat, electric passenger seat, reversing sensors, heated rear screen, front and rear fog lights, arm rests and cup holders, and 3 seat belts in the rear, (so is a five seater). It also comes with a full set of Jaguar mats and a spare wheel and jack etc. Not a bottle of sticky gloop.
Externally, unique Jaguar 5 spoke 18 inch wheels, shod with low profile tyres compliment the stainless front grill and original Jaguar spoiler and body styling kit.
I love this car, I think its rarity, by being a sport model, only enhances its beauty. I will miss it dearly, it has been cherished and pampered in my 5 years of ownership, and I hope the next owner will look after it too.
The sills are original, there is no body rust, just surface corrosion on some of the sub frame and suspension. Please bear in mind this is a 20 year old car.
It's kept outside, on my private drive under a VERY expensive cover on a battery tender, as I am surrounded by trees and saplings, living in the Forest of Dean. This means all the nooks and crannies are kept clear of debris and uv rays etc.
If I GET THE FULL PRICE , I will include these items if required.
Thank you for looking.
Bank transfer to be paid either before or upon collection please,
feel free to contact me any time, questions welcome.

Tim.
