GT6 mk1 for sale. This is not concours but is a lovely car. It has a 2. 5L triumph block with a suspected GT6 mk2 head. Standard 4 speed with overdrive. My father and I purchased it from Chic Doig over 15 years ago and completed a complete rebuild.
New brake lines, fuel lines, suspension rebuild, radiator recore, waxoil on chassis and door skins, rust free windscreen frame (from California via Chic), full interior refurb all with receipts. Full respray completed by Chic at the point of purchase.
The interior has been fully refurbished. Cream leather has been professionally refitted to the original frames. Patterns made from the original covers. New wool carpets in dark green. Pioneer stereo and speakers; stereo has iPhone input whilst looking period with dual chrome dials.
Car is in good running order; dual SU175s, K&N filers, sports coil and dual sports exhaust. The rest is all standard. Original steel wheels have been shot blast and powder coated including the spare. All hub caps present and in good condition. All on good tyres. The car made the run to vintage Le Mans without issue.
Negatives; it has a scratch on the wing from a toddlers bike brake handle. It has been treated but will require professional dressing. The bumpers are original as far as I know but would benefit from rechroming. They have been cleaned and polished but are pitted. The engine is in great condition but a repaint would dress up under the bonnet. Would benefit from a tune but runs well.
Priced to sell. Simply not be driven enough now with family demands. The body work (barring the scratch on the wing) is in superb shape. With a tune and a polish it is a great show car. Very little to do to get out and enjoy the summer.
