I’ve completed over 1000km’s in this fantastic example over the last month alone and it’s been an absolute pleasure. It drives extremely well, tight and pointy just like they should be, why they can’t make cars drive like this any more is beyond me. ULEZ compliant in Scotland and some other regions (I can potentially update the data with DVLA so its compliant in the rest of the UK as its below the required emissions levels)
Drivetrain, gearbox and clutch are all excellent. It’s been a well loved and maintained car, had its big service in 2024 inc cam belt change. Bodywork is excellent and original, sills and arches all with factory paint and spot welds all visible (it’s not often you can say that!) The underside is unbelievably good and original, never undersealed! Stickers and part numbers still visible on the original shock absorbers and even the brake back plates. The wheels are in their original finish and have never been refurbed. Four matching Goodyear tyres with fronts being brand new. MOT til Jan 2027. Private registration included, will go back on its original ‘M’ registration if you wished to remove it.
The interior is excellent throughout with just the normal minor wear (not tear) on the edge of the drivers seat, unmarked door cards, steering wheel is free from wear, dash lovely, working A/ C which is a rare treat in a MK1, upgrade stereo with the electric retractable aerial still working, a very nice place to be. Speedometer has MPH overlay with the odometer still reading and clocking up in kms. There is a host of paperwork, books, manuals, receipts, all old mot's and spare keys.
