Description
Lovely 1972 Ford Capri 1600XL mk1. MoT'd 23. 04. 26 with NO ADVISORIES. Only 59, 750 genuine miles. You will not find such an original condition example anywhere in the UK. It's ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed.
It was my late fathers car that he bought around 1990. It was last Mot'd in 2017 at 57, 150 miles. So, in 9 years it has only covered around 2000 miles. It is solid and very rust free having not seen rain (apart from when it is washed and polished then put away when dry).
Included with it are the original wheels (i prefer the period Alley Cat's so they are on it now), black pancake filter housing, and various other parts. There is also a brand new unused spare exhaust as well. It has a file of paperwork but no service history with it being 54 years old. A letter from it's previous owner, a bunch of tax discs, and old valuation certificates are a nice touch as well.
In the 1990's my father had the passenger wing replaced due to a scrape. There is a slight colour shade difference and some corrosion along the lip - see photo. There is some slight chipping along the passenger side rear quarter hockey stick - see photo. I prefer the honest patina as there is clearly nothing to hide.
It's currently valued at £22500 but i am just not using it so £15k it's yours to drive away and enjoy.
