I’m selling our beautifully kept 2004 Mazda MX5 1. 6 Sport, a silver manual example with just 39k miles on the clock. My fiancée and I have genuinely loved this car, and it’s been our weekend companion for trips through Kent. We’re only letting it go because we have a house move coming up, and we’re hoping it finds an enthusiast owner who’ll appreciate it as much as we have.
The bodywork is in fantastic condition, completely rust and corrosion free. The sills are solid and still carry the original factory spot welds, and the front chassis legs are equally clean. Genuinely rare to find a car of this age in this kind of condition underneath. The silver paint and panels present superbly.
Mechanically it’s in top condition and fully up to date. Front and rear discs and brake pads have been replaced, the cam belt and water pump have both been done, and has received its annual service. A brand new battery has also been fitted. It drives beautifully, pulls really well, and is a genuinely fun car to get behind the wheel of.
The handling is tight and engaging, with matching tyres all round that have like-new tread. It sits on a set of 16 inch SVT alloy wheels. The original spare wheel, jack, tool kit, and locking wheel nut key are all included.
From the factory, this Sport edition came well equipped with power steering, ABS, dual SRS airbags, electric windows and wing mirrors, the factory wind deflector with integrated stereo speakers behind the headrests, and comfortable sports seats. The soft top is in great condition with a heated rear glass screen. For an additional £500, it can be had with the colour coded matching hard top, also in great condition and also fitted with a heated rear glass screen.
Inside, it has been tastefully updated with a Pioneer digital head unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth calling and music, and an installed microphone for hands free. Two original Mazda keys and two remote controllers are included, along with a genuine Mazda leather key hanger.
It comes with the original Mazda owner’s manual in its original leather pouch, the original purchase documents, and partial service history. The paperwork and the overall condition of the car speak for themselves. MOT’d through to September 2026, so nothing needs doing, it is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
