Rover 75 Contemporary – Silver – 63 500 miles – £2, 200
Reluctantly selling my Rover 75 Contemporary in silver, with just 63, 500 miles from new. I bought the car as an enthusiast in early 2023 at 51, 518 miles, and it’s been used mainly for leisure drives with only occasional commuting.
For a car now over 20 years old, it presents very well and is a tidy, genuine example that has proven reliable in my ownership.
Bodywork & Exterior:
The bodywork is in very good condition for its age. The only cosmetic issues are a few paint imperfections on the bumper that were touched in by a previous owner – not particularly noticeable unless you’re looking for them. There are no signs of significant rust, just very small areas of surface rust on the door and boot which are minor and not exposed.
Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition and compares well with much newer cars. There is slight wear on the edges of the seat fabric, but nothing major. Headlining is in great condition with no sagging.
Mechanical & Ownership:
- Recently passed MOT without issue, with a small number of advisories (rear brake discs, front lower bushes, and tyre wear)
- Has been reliable throughout my ownership with no running issues
- I have not carried out a service during my ownership, though the car has only covered around 12, 000 miles in that time
- Air conditioning was regassed when I bought it but stopped working after around a year – likely a slow leak, not investigated
- Battery replaced around a year ago
- Front windscreen replaced
Wheels & Tyres:
- Comes with original alloy wheels
- Also includes a set of genuine Rover “Meteor” alloys (a sought-after factory option), purchased second-hand with brand new centre caps – these would benefit from refurbishment
- Tyres have good tread but will likely need replacing before the next MOT
