Description
This 1963 Jaguar E-Type is a matching-numbers example, retaining its original body and engine. It has been held by the same owner for the last 18 years and is accompanied by an extensive history file documenting its maintenance and provenance.
It is an original right-hand drive, supplied by Elmbridge Motors, Tolworth.
Recent structural and mechanical restoration work was carried out by recognised specialists. Southern Classics fitted a new bonnet and new engine frames, as well as installing new rear shocks. The drivetrain has been updated with a complete gearbox rebuild and a new clutch, both performed by Hardy Engineering.
The cooling system features the Fosseway Marston radiator, while the ignition has been updated with a 123 Distributor. It also includes Cooper Craft front brakes and adjustable reaction plate.
The interior has been refreshed with a new headlining and newly recovered rear wheel arches. Completing the factory equipment is the original jack and its corresponding bag. The vehicle is presented in excellent condition throughout and continues to run very well for those who are looking to take it on its journey.
Special care has been taken to restore the car back to its original specs where possible and all upgrades have been made by approved specialists with the greatest care.
