Ideal for classic racing.
Had lots of work done but still needs a bit more. This Morgan was crashed in 1976 when it was a few weeks old it was rebuilt on a new chassis.
In the 90s someone went into the back of it so they had another chassis rebuild.
Dad died in 2017 and I was left the car.
I’ve had a new set of aluminium wings fitted and a complete respray the water pump , alternator , brake parts, spotlights and side lights have been renewed . The car has all style reclining leather seats.
I took the car to have a new mohair hood made to measure , along with a new tonneau , while the hood was being made. He also made new leather cushion tops of the doors.
Next I ordered a new mahogany dashboard made in Germany, when fitted I had the reconditioned dials with chrome bevels put in , and a clock.
Back to the trim shop and a new leather cushion Below windscreen , above the dashboard. A new offset moto lita steering wheel .
The five special lightweight wheels have been refurbished with new set of tyres.
I cannot remember when or why but in the 1990s the engine was replaced The Rover four speed gearbox remote has had some new bushes fitted and it is lovely now.
Some interior trim on the driver side is missing and it could do with some TLC.
The radiator is a steel one but I have an aluminium one which I bought with a fan to go in.
The Morgan is one of 19 super lightweight ones made
It is tax exempt and doesn’t need an MOT but it does have one .
Obviously it’s 50 years old and needs some more TLC.
I struggle to drive it now and it hurts my knee and hips. I’m old!
I have been looking at the prices and seen +8 at 20, 000 and I think my car because of its age and being one of 19 must be worth
£22, 500
