The Appeal

The Fiat 500C Belvedere, affectionately known as the "Giardinetta," is one of the most-prized of that legendary Topolino lineage. With its metal-clad frame, it captured something of country grandeur and made for an altogether more practical car.

This particular Giardinetta has been in the same family since 1977, when the vendor's father - a professional classic car restorer -acquired it from its second registered keeper, who had stored it in a garage with very limited use. Between 1977 and 1979, the car was disassembled and rebuilt. The engine, braking system, gearshift, and rear differential were all restored using a combination of components from the car itself and parts carefully recovered from approximately ten donor Giardinette and one Topolino sourced across the Lazio countryside. Photographs documenting this restoration accompany the sale.

Also included in the sale is a collection of over €5,000 worth of spare parts - including engine internals, gearboxes, a differential, body panels, suspension components, bumpers, and much more, all of which have been meticulously cleaned, organised, and catalogued.
