It’s with a heavy heart that sadly our British racing green 1. 8T is up for sale.
This is a very special car with a very special history only covering 3100 miles during its life. It’s a near immaculate example and possibly one of the best examples of a ZT on the road.
It’s first owner lived in Derby and bought it from motorpoint derby from new where there was a 50% off all MG Rover stock due to them going under in April of 2005. He bought VN54UZY and immediately put it into a car coon where during his ownership until 2016 only covered 3 miles.
After this it’s recorded that it went through multiple auctions and dealers between 2016 and 2024, where the previous owners bought it and put 2800 miles on it between 2024 and 2025.
And this takes us to when we bought it in may 2025. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our ownership and we are gutted that it’s come to an end so quickly. But sadly we have too many cars that need work at the moment and so sadly something has to give.
Due to it being kept within a car coon for 20 years of its life all plastics have remained in ming condition including the tyres which are the original tyres from 2004 which have not gone hard and have much tread left on them.
It’s MOT history started in 2020 which can back up its history and also show to you that everything is as should and the years of being a museum piece has been kind to it. Its most recent MOT was on the 13th of March and went through with flying colours.
This car was also featured in the telegraph back in 2016, for being the lowest mileage and best condition MG Rover left.
We also have pictures of the underside to show that it’s as shiny as the top of it is.
It’s an amazing car and probably the smoothest K series engine I’ve ever heard.
