2005 MGTF 135bhp in Silver. 3 Owners from new, I purchased back in 2024 from an elderly friend who had owned the car for the past 10 years or so. In that time it had barely been used by him and was stored in a dry garage.
After purchase I re-commissioned it and had intended to use it but ran out of time so the car was put into a garage for storage. I had intended the bring the car out in 2025 but other projects took over and it was unused and remained in storage. Prior to storage the battery was removed and fuel tank drained,
I recently lost my storage garage so the car has been put back on the road ready for sale.
Prior to the mot test it had 4 new tyres (all the old ones were starting to crack/ perish, the original brake discs and pads on the front were replaced and new rear brake pads were fitted. The oil and oil filter were changed (Bosch filter fitted) and the serpentine belt replaced as the original was starting to split.
The horn was not working so the airbag clock spring was also replaced (common fail) the horn now works as it should.
Whilst the car was on ramps the underside was checked and any signs of surface corrosion were addressed by black chassis paint. The subframe and chassis were actually in excellent condition with nothing more than light surface rust, this has been painted. This was not to hide anything but just to protect the chassis.
The car starts and runs perfectly with no signs of smoke etc. It drives as a car with such low mileage should.
The bodywork is generally very good, there is a small dent on the front offside wing (pictured) and a small scuff to the rear bumper corner (on the plastic not metal).
The hood has the glass rear window (heated) and is in excellent condition with no damage or tears. It operates as it should.
The car is all standard and has not been modified, the only thing that has been changed is the stereo which has been updated (the original one is present and will be supplied). there is also a boot mounted luggage rack if required.
Both keys are present together with all documents including the V5 which is in my name at my address.
The head gasket has not been changed due to the mileage and it not showing any signs of failing, If I were keeping the car I would get the gasket and cambelt changed to ensure long term useability. I have priced the car accordingly to allow the next keeper to change these.
This is a genuine low owner/ low mileage car that can be a perfect summer fun car. I have a Toyota GR86 sat on my drive so cant justify another toy otherwise I would be keeping the car.
