Description
1992 TVR Griffith 430 V8 Pre-Cat. Very rare. Excellent condition. Sounds Epic!
The car is presented in Mica Blue with Grey Hide trim and the original OZ Racing multi spoke alloys. The car had a complete chassis rebuild along with new coil overs, braking system, and an uprated twin fan cooling system in 2022 as well as a new walnut veneer dashboard. In my ownership she has had a complete LT177 Gear box rebuild, replaced ECU and Wiring loom replacement, plus a full TVR Specialist 12k service. She has 55k miles on the clock and in my opinion is the sweet spot of the RV8 Griffs, 4. 3 litre 284bhp without cats, so the best sounding of the lot! To the best of my knowledge 1 of only 11 1992 Pre-Cat 430 Griffs in the UK. She has just had a new retro top of the range Pioneer head unit installed worth over £400, and I have done an LED switch gear upgrade on the dashboard which has made a huge difference. A reluctant sale as she is 3 to many cars! MOT’d until November and ready to hit the show and summer touring circuit. She has some gelcoat blistering at the front end of the bonnet, and while it is only noticeable up close it in no way detracts from her. If I was keeping her, I would probably have had a respray done as I’m something of a perfectionist…. But she certainly doesn’t need it. But then she’d be a £23k+ example, so this is very much reflected in my very reasonable asking price. No time wasters please or silly offers. They won’t even get a response. She is priced fairly and I will consider a fair offer. Viewing by appointment. Private plate not included. The car is visceral, it puts a smile on your face the second you slide inside, and you won't stop grinning from the second you turn that 4. 3 RV8 Pre-Cat beast over. Nothing comes close. It's a reluctant sale for me, but soemthing has to give, and I have one to many cars presently. Its also really comfortbale, the grey leather seats are cosetting and comfortable, its a nice place to be. Has to be with the top down! Thats the true experience with this car. It's one of the more unique Griffs, a brief production run before the engine changed to the mighty (but Cat fitted 500), this one has the 430 and is far less numerous than the 400. Don't quote me but I am told its one of only 11 1992 430's around. It's simply awesome.
