Regrettably need to sell my Dolly.
Purchased in 2015, 5 previous owners. 69. 5k miles. Previous full restoration including new engine carried out during the mid 90’s.
In near A1 condition always garaged and extremely well maintained. Need to down-size and she doesn't get the use she deserves.
Would make an amazing car to bring to show condition and it wouldn’t take much work.
In my ownership:
- Full brake service all round, every component taken part, cleaned, serviced and replaced where necessary
- New steering rack (reconditioned rack from Rimmer Bros)
- Full underside paint of all bare metal with POR15
- Removal of fuel tank, clean inside and out, full external paint using POR15
- Full fuel system clean and large bulb fitted in engine bay
- New spark plug tubes (the metal ones with o-rings)
- Full engine tune including carbs
- New points, HT leads, ignition system etc
Spares and other bits include
- Rear bumper
- Clutch slave cylinder (thought I needed but didn't)
- Bonnet rubber seal
- Both Haynes and Triumph workshop manuals
She is an absolutely amazing drive, a real pleasure on the road all-round. The other main modifications that were carried out prior to my ownership i. e. not original are:
- Braided brake hoses
- K&N air filters
- Sunroof
- Stainless exhaust
- Kenlowe fan and thermostatic switch
So, essentially low-level mods which maintain original aesthetics but make her a dream to drive. She is TAX and MOT exempt and with low classic car insurance is relatively cheap to run and maintain.
The document pack is extremely comprehensive, ranging back to the 90's including all MOT's.
