Lovely 1981 Austin Mini City. 6 previous owners. Car shows mileage of 58, 395 miles. Current MOT until December 2026 and tax exempt. Registered as red, but more orange in my view.
Previously the subject of a home restoration by the 5th owner, the car is very presentable and in good solid condition. There is a full photo file of the restoration that can be viewed, and the work included an engine rebuild and lots of other new parts. The car has had a respray, although I think the bonnet and roof are the original paint. Paint job isn't the best and has some wrinkles visible, but is presentable as per the photos. There's the odd spot of rust showing around the windscreen and the roof gutter.
Interior has the original rubber Mini City floor mats which I understand are very rare these days.
I had the MOT carried out in November last year. It had a small bit of welding carried out around the floor pan and a few small jobs such as some new brake lines.
Any question or viewing welcome, would need to arrange for a weekday evening or Sunday ideally. Bought by me in 2019 and garaged ever since after having more kids!
This is a great example for the price, in original/ unmodified spec. Car drives really well, feels very solid. Only selling as not using it enough and under pressure to make some space in the garage.
