Description
1964 Austin Mk1 Mini Cooper evolution, first registered 4th June 1964 as a delux model. Originally purchased with the intention of carrying out a full restoration, however the shell wasn’t in great order so a new heritage shell was purchased at a cost of £12, 000 and the car was rebuilt from the ground up to cooper specification ( with the exception of the engine which, also fully refurbished is a standard 998), including front disc brakes, with the majority of parts being new including Dunlop Aqua Flo tyres as per original spec. The upgraded/ updated mechanicals of this Mini were built by Paddy Hopkirk’s own engineer including a full engine and gearbox overhaul. Massive rebuild file including the heritage certificate and a mass of receipts. Currently running on 1 1/ 2” single carb but a fully refurbished set of twins are included in the sale. The underside is as clean as above the cills.
