Description
1964 Austin Mk1 Mini Cooper evolution, first registered 4th June 1964 as a delux model. Originally purchased with the intention of carrying out a full restoration, however the shell wasn’t in great order so a new heritage shell was purchased at a cost of £12, 000 and the car was rebuilt from the ground up to cooper specification including front disc brakes, with the majority of parts being new including Dunlop Aqua Flo tyres as per original spec. The upgraded/ updated mechanicals of this Mini were built by Paddy Hopkirk’s own engineer including a full engine and gearbox overhaul. Massive rebuild file including the heritage certificate and a mass of receipts. Currently running on 1 1/ 2” singles carb but a fully refurbished set of twins are included in the sale.
