Description
A cracking little car that has had a huge amount of work over the past year to bring it back to driving as it should. Excellent bodywork condition. The underside is entirely unmolested and not plastered with underseal, so will pass any inspection. Fresh MOT to 26th June 2027.
The 75th anniversary is a limited run of 2000 cars. The UK only received 492 of this model and only 237 were in black, paint code PAK.
The car has covered just 73, 500 miles. The previous owner said that it was garaged for most of its life, which accounts for its rust-free condition. After a period of neglect, from May last year this car has been treated to a series of careful recommissioning works to have it performing and driving in true MGF style, beginning with the refurbishment of the Hydragas suspension system to restore the legendary MGF ride quality.
New tyres fitted all round (Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ 215/ 40 R16 as recommended by the MG Owners Club).
To add to the pleasure of the drive, the gearshift has had the cables replaced with original MG parts, new clutch release arm and new clutch. Snicks into the gears very nicely indeed – even reverse!
No expense has been spared in bringing this car to its current condition. Fuel system, ignition, transmission, oil seals and cambelt have all received attention. In short, over £5, 000 has been spent by its enthusiast owners in the last year, and only an unexpected health issue has brought it back for sale.
