A classic red Volkswagen Beetle with a great period look, a 1500cc air-cooled engine and some tasteful upgrades.
First registered in 1966, this right-hand-drive Beetle features a four-speed manual gearbox, bright red paintwork, chrome detailing and a folding fabric sunroof. It has plenty of the character that makes these early Volkswagens so appealing.
The car was restored in 2006 and has been dry-stored ever since. The paintwork, which dates from the restoration, has held up exceptionally well over the years, giving a good indication of how well the car has been preserved overall.
Condition
The underside is rust-free, with only small amounts of surface rust on some suspension components. There are a couple of small areas of rust bubbling beneath the paintwork, on the corner of the bonnet and the driver's side rear arch. These are localised areas that should be straightforward to repair.
The car has recently been serviced, with new ignition leads, ignition coil, condenser and contact breaker points fitted. The carburettor has also had recent attention and has been correctly tuned.

It's got a folding fabric sunroof, a retrimmed interior and a few useful upgrades, including a 12V conversion and Bluetooth sound system. It's also had a recent service and ignition work.
There are a couple of small areas of bubbling on the bonnet and driver's side rear arch, but nothing that stops this being a good base for someone who wants to tidy it up further or take it in their own direction. Equally, there's plenty to enjoy about it as it stands. A proper old Beetle with loads of character.
