1974 Kawasaki Z1A 900Original UK registered bike from new, but is fitted with the shorter US version rear mudguard. Just 4 former keepers since new, the previous owner owned it from 1985 and used it as a daily runner but started buying and collecting various parts from 1986 with a view to restore the bike in the future, which is what he did. Paper tax disks going back to 1986. Paper MOTs going back to 1988. Dozens of receipts for parts bought by the previous owner totalling around £6000, half of which are from Z Power. That doesn’t include new paint and exhaust which are clearly new but the receipts aren’t there. A further £5000 has been spent in my ownership on new Bridgestone BT46 tyres, Newtronic ignition, top end rebuild including new valve guide seals, +1mm rebore and pistons, new clutch, starter sprag clutch assembly and other odds and sods as you do!The mileage shows 56700 which is what the bike would have covered in its lifetime, the previous owner did not want the clocks reset, even though it was a total restoration.
