Description
Non-runner, suspected fuel pump failureRegretfully thinking of selling my low mileage 2002 (51) Ford Puma as it seems the fuel pump has failed. Battery holds charge and car turns over, but doesn't fire up. This is my first car, so would like it to go to an enthusiast who will repair and keep it on the road. I will get to to a garage to be repaired eventually when work calms down and I get time, but testing the water if anyone wants it in its current state. Good points:Low miles - 64, 000 appx and not climbingStacks of paperwork, including original sales invoice, service book, receipts for work (and radio code)Front ABS/ TCS sensors recently replaced (£650+ job alone)Good condition Falken tyres all aroundMechanically all feels pretty good (but as with any 20 year old car, TLC is appreciated)Bad points:Fuel pump (as mentioned)Sills and arches have needed work every now and then, as expected with theseFront and rear lights cosmetically quite poorPassenger door card hanging loose with broken clips. It's a two person job to try and fix but I'm just one person. The car has had structural work done in the past, at a local Mazda MX5 specialist. Bought as my first car, it's an increasingly rare car and one that should become a classic, with its fantastic design and renowned driving characteristics. This one needs some love, and sadly I don't have the time, skill or equipment to give it what it deserves. I hope a new owner will give it the treatment it deserves.
