A superb example. Very few of this quality come up for sale. The car was subject to a full body off nut and bolt restoration in 2008: dried stored and only 3500 miles completed since. The car has done very limited mileage since 2019 - just 800 miles - and has needed some very light recommissioning, namely a complete clutch system - clutch plate / thrust bearing / fork / master & slave cylinders. Other additions include new water pump, Spax Triton Adjustable Shocks, new seats, new fuel filter, new spark plugs & temperature sender. Just serviced and all bushes have been greased. The car sits beautifully on offset 6 inch chrome wires, wearing Pirelli P6000s. The chassis, floor plan and bodywork are, as the pictures show, in really excellent corrosion free condition ( frankly the underneath of this car is epically good!) The interior is similarly good and the dashboard is excellent - no cracks or scratches- and the hood and Perspex windows are very sound. Everything works as it should, although the temperature gauge is a bit erratic. The engine operates at factory temperature and oil pressure. The gearbox operates perfectly and has overdrive on 2nd/ 3rd/ 4th. The exhaust system is stainless steel throughout. The car has a Heritage Certificate and a decent history file. The only known issue is some cavitation from the fuel pump which I suspect is a function of very limited mileage or it will need a replacement. Rust is the killer on these cars and this one as rust free as you could get! A really nice example. It’s in superb condition - the chassis/ floor pan and bodywork are remarkably rust free.
