Description
The vehicle has been in my possession for several years and has always been looked after and driven regularly. It’s a Swiss-registered car. Most recently, it was presented for the MFK inspection, but it failed due to rust in the rear wheel arches.
In recent times, the following work has been carried out: replacement of the camshaft seal, renewal of the coolant including radiator cleaning, inspection of the thermostat and water pump, an engine pressure test, a new battery, as well as a general service. Mechanically, the car is in very good condition—the 2. 0-litre carburettor engine runs perfectly and the vehicle is roadworthy.
The Rosso Nearco paintwork shows signs of age-appropriate wear. The known areas of rust are in the rear wheel arches and around the sunroof. For a bodywork professional, these are fairly manageable restoration points.
The interior is original and, for its age, in good condition. The driver’s seat has small tears in the upholstery. The sunroof is present, but it doesn’t seal fully. All essential instruments and switches function.
Anyone looking for a mechanically solid Lancia Beta Coupé and who isn’t afraid of some bodywork will find a rare opportunity here—an honest, roadworthy piece of Italian automotive history, which has become increasingly hard to find on the roads of Europe.
