Description
1964 Mini 848cc in maroon, exceptional condition throughout. This Mini was originally registered on 18th September 1964 and has only 2 previous keepers (one a family member). This being an early example has the long gear lever and starter button on the floor. It was restored by Minispeed in Byfleet in April 2013, with an invoice totalling £20, 662. Work carried out by Minispeed included new floor, sills, front wings, boot lid, new door skin on the passenger door and repainting in the original colour. There is an additional invoice from Minispeed later in 2013 detailing a new rear subframe was fitted along with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake pipes, fuel pump, track rod ends, water pump, with work totalling £5, 337. Plus other work and many new parts. All receipts on file. The Mini has done very few miles since. It is registered as a historic vehicle so it tax and MOT exempt, but it does have an advisory free MOT until February 2027. The mileage is currently 30, 777 and going up, but not warranted. The earliest MOT on file dates back to 1980 when the mileage was 10, 841. The condition is exceptional, it is best described as a 1 year old car with patina in places (it appears to have the original steering wheel and indicator stalk for example). Obviously no rust anywhere and you could eat your steak and kidney pie off the underside. It is fully turnkey and ready to go. It drives fine, brakes, gearbox all good. The registration plate is valuable and will remain with the car. More photos and walk round videos available on request. Any inspection welcome, may consider p/ ex plus cash for an interesting classic.
