Description
A genuine Ford Capri RS3100, built in Halewood in November 1973 and registered in Bolton Lancashire in May 1974. Build Number 47 in Diamond White. The Car was known to the RS Register up until the end of the 1990's at this time it was painted black with wolfrace wheels and a sun roof. It was taken off the road at this time. The owner intended a restoration but never got around to it. It was purchased in 2009 and a full nut and bolt restoration was carried out, back to the original colour and specification. The main body work was done by 'Restore a Ford' see their face book page as they have restored a few RS models including capris. All mechanical parts were were either replaced or restored. Engine was rebuilt back to original specification. The restoration was completed in 2015. Once complete the car remained in a private ford collection without being driven -. I bought the car in November 2021 and carried out some minor recommissioning of the brakes and carried out a full service in my ownership it has done 2950 miles (The speedometer was zeroed at the time of the rebuild) So I do not know how many miles the car has had the current V5 shows 5 owners. The car is immaculate - white underneath the only not original part is the RS steering wheel. This is one of the best RS Capris in the Country. I am based in Newton Abbot and have access to a ramp for inspection. I would take an Immaculate Ford Cortina 1600E series 2 or a 1300E Escort in part exchange any part exchange would have to be on a par with the Capri. I bough this car because I promised myself I would own one after seeing one in 1977 it only took 46 years It drives very well just come back from a 220 mile round trip for the annual RS day at Castle Combe
