Description
Reluctantly, I’ve decided to sell my E46 M3. The only reason for the sale is that I’ve recently started my own business, and alongside working full time and owning three other vehicles, I simply don’t have the time to enjoy it as it deserves.
This is a genuine, honest example that has clearly been well cared for over the years. It benefits from a full service history, and previous owners have spent close to £50, 000 maintaining and improving the car throughout its life.
The car had a replacement engine fitted in 2008, however, I don’t have any paperwork relating to the engine swap. Likewise, I have no documented evidence regarding VANOS work, although the torque screws show signs of having been removed previously, suggesting work has likely been carried out at some point.
As expected for a 23-year-old performance car, it does have some age-related marks and imperfections, but nothing that detracts from it being a very presentable and honest example. I originally bought it with the intention of carrying out a full restoration, but unfortunately time is something I no longer have.
The mileage is unlikely to increase significantly as the car is not my daily driver.
During my ownership, I’ve always treated the car with mechanical sympathy. It has never been driven hard from cold and has always been allowed to warm up for at least 10 minutes before being driven.
This is a fantastic opportunity to own an iconic modern classic that’s becoming increasingly sought after. It’s not a showroom car, nor am I claiming it’s perfect, but it is a genuine, well maintained example that can be enjoyed immediately or taken to the next level by its next owner.
Any inspection is welcome, and I’m happy to answer any questions or provide additional photos and videos if required.
