Purchased by the current owner in Historics Auction in 2014
Mileage 43, 000 which the previous vendor believed to be genuine
The car is manual with overdrive and fitted with an Oselli Fast road spec engine and the gearbox rebuilt. In addition, the car was fitted with Minilite 8 spoke alloy wheels and a Works Hardtop fitted. The hood, frame and full tonneau come with the car. The current owner has used the car regularly covering only 2, 000+ miles. The bodywork/ shell is in excellent condition having no paintwork blemishes since its restoration in 2002.
A genuine Mota-lita steering wheel is fitted.
The car drives superbly, producing 120bhp.
The car comes with a spare engine, gearbox and back axle and the original 3-spoke steering wheel, bills dating back to 2002 of in excess of £15, 000.
Having greatly enjoyed the ownership of several MGBs in the early 70s, the current owner acquired the car in 2014 with the plan further improve the car to use as a long distance rally car, which for various reasons never happened, and it is now surplus to requirements. Hence the Oselli engine and further upgrades.
