Survivor is a familiar term now with many cars stored or off the road for a period of time and presented to market after light recommissioning. It is highly unusual to find a car from the 90's that has been garaged from new showing low mileage and serviced every year - all by just one enthusiast owner with every single item of paperwork ever associated with the car. Quite frankly, this one ticks all the boxes and was evidently the owner's pride and joy until his passing late last year.

Still retaining it’s factory original coat of Rouge Lucifer metallic throughout, and accompanied by original and unrestored GTX wheels, this 405 presents beautifully. It is not concours but it is very, very good with the odd touched - in chip and a small paint defect to the near side rear quarter that the owner decided to repair, as opposed to paint, assuming his attempt to keep the car as original as possible.

The Quasar interior presents impeccably. The images speak for themselves but the cabin remains totally original with only the slightest sun damage to the dash betraying the cars age and mileage. The radio works, the sunroof works and the blower motor has just been replaced. The boot retains all of the original owner's belongings including an extremely tasteful selection of cassettes!

The paperwork accompanying the car is astonishing. All correspondence from initial order right the way through to the last service and glowing inspection report just completed by ex 90's Peugeot master tech. Serviced and MOT every year by the main agent all the way up to 2019, a local Hanwell specialist then took on maintenance requirements each year up to 2024.

Having just returned from a full appraisal with Grove Classics of Weybridge the condition of the car was quoted as excellent with the underside, pipe work, exhaust, gaitors and rubbers all superb. Further to this the cambelt, tensioner and water pump were replaced with a Gates kit alongside the sump breather pipe and a new interior blower motor. It has also recently completed its 6th advisory free MOT in a row.

Original book pack with stamped service book (until it ran out of space) with every service invoice from new. The file even mentions how much of a respected customer the owner has been of the brand over the years. 2 keys.

A really lovely story from day one with this car, completely watertight history file and excellent condition ready for its next chapter with an enthusiast owner who will hopefully treat it with similar love and respect for the next 30 years!
