1973 MG B GT V8 (non original)
I have owned and enjoyed this car for over a year now but due to family commitments I no longer have time to enjoy it.
Previous owner has done front shock conversion drilled slotted disc's callipers green stuff pads and new wheels and tyres.
Interior has been retrimmed but not to a high standard. It has 2 side exit exhaust with glasspacks car is solid underneath no welding required. It has the It77 5 speed gearbox and holley 4 barrel carburetor with new K&N air filter.
new v8 radiator and electric fan.
Bonnet was modified to suite carburetor not to everyone's taste but can easily be removed.
Comes with spare boot lid
log book has changed to v8 and is also tax mot exempt.
Bad points.
Paint work is presentable but has some marks and some surface rust.
No service history except in my ownership.
Some controls inside do not work. But lights, indicators, fan and wipers all work.
Speedo is about 10mph out.
Small fuel leak on carbs (hoping to fix this prior to sale)
Car is black on log book. ( previous owner was going to paint it but didn’t and I left it as I had plans to do the same)
Viewings welcome and open to offers. I bought this as it is one of the cheapest on the market and has been great fun to enjoy. It grumbles and sounds amazing. Like all classics it’s required maintenance but nothing major. To bring it up to immaculate it would require a lot of work but as a running and driving car it would be great to enjoy or a brilliant project.
