Very good cosmetic condition. The crankcases have been changed at some point in its' life before me, no doubt due to early life roller bearing failure that was common with the SP5 model, and there is a tiny amount of evidence of some cosmetic issue associated with such trauma, but you need to know where to look. It also benefits from a super-lightweight Kaemna flywheel helping the engine spin up * really* quickly, and the front brake is a period AP racing unit. I've had this bike for 18 years, and it has been a solid performer throughout. The swingarm was replaced two years ago, after I discovered a crack at the pivot in the previous one, which appears to be a known, and common failure point. The reg/ rect has also been swapped out for a modern one for reliability, but is otherwise original. Cherished number plate of "B88 ***" also included. Vehicle is MoT'd through to June 2027, and may accumulate additional mileage, as I still occasionally use it. I personally imported this bike, riding it home from Europe. It is located in Central Scotland, and I'm happy to take additional photos and/ or video chat for any prospective buyer. A Ducati 888 is a rare thing, and the SP5 is another order of magnitude rarer. It is a thing of beauty and a visceral riding experience that cannot be replicated by todays motorcycles.
