Description
This is a 1994 Ducati 916 Strada - one of the originals out of the Varese factory. It is in very good cosmetic condition, and sports all the usual 916 Strada elements like the P8 ECU, Cagiva elephant logos throughout, etc. It currently is registered with a valuable six character dateless "916" related cherished plate which will be included in the sale price. Fitted with an upgraded, but period correct 50mm exhaust (and matching "open exhaust" fuel map chip). There is some slight discolouration on the rear wheel paint, but is not intrusive. The front discs have been upgraded to full floaters (916 Stradas originally had non-floating discs), and there has been an adjustable lever been fitted at some point in its' life (916 Stradas had non-adjustable levers fitted as standard)I've had this bike for about 17 years, and the only thing that has gone wrong with it is the obligatory Ducati reg/ rect failure, where I replaced the reg/ rect with a modern unit and has been fine ever since. The bike has been in storage for a few years, and as such, is not currently MoT'd and would benefit from a service (including belt change). It would be the purchasers choice whether they want that taken care of ahead of purchase, or to buy as-is. I bought this bike to ride, and have enjoyed every moment on those rare occasions that the Scottish weather has allowed such a special machine to be unleashed on the road. It is located in Central Scotland, and I'm happy to take additional photos and/ or video chat for any prospective buyer. A piece of automotive art from Massimo Tamburini. Most 916's of this era have now either been crashed or modified. To have one of the original Strada's from '94 in such good condition is something special indeed.
