Description
Since its acquisition, this 928 S has undergone extensive reliability work and maintenance. Notable work carried out includes: complete rewiring of the electrical harness, timing belt and auxiliary belts, engine oil change, new battery, replacement of the accelerator cable, window mechanism, boot closure system and complete interior refurbishment. The original car radio has been replaced with a model of identical appearance incorporating Bluetooth and hands-free kit. All work is documented by invoices and a complete service history.
To my knowledge, no urgent mechanical work is required. The only point I would highlight in complete transparency concerns the paintwork, which shows some minor finishing imperfections. The future owner may choose to keep it as is or undertake a respray if they wish to achieve concours-level aesthetics.
I will be delighted to answer all your questions and present the complete file and full history during the viewing.
I purchased this 1980 Porsche 928 S because I wanted to own a car from my birth year, equipped with a V8. I was looking for an authentic, sound example with excellent provenance, rather than simply a car restored for sale. Its exceptionally well-preserved interior, low mileage and manual gearbox configuration immediately caught my attention. Since its acquisition, it has benefited from the necessary maintenance work to allow it to be used with complete peace of mind. I particularly appreciate its 300 bhp V8, its transaxle balance and grand touring comfort, which give it a Porsche personality very different from the 911. The paintwork shows some age-related imperfections, but I have always preferred to preserve the car's authenticity rather than conceal its history under cosmetic restoration. I now wish to entrust it to an enthusiast who will appreciate it and continue its story.
