Description
For sale is my 1946 Jaguar MkIV 1. 5 saloon affectionately named "JUGS" I have owned her for the past 3 years and have enjoyed every moment of my ownership as she get attention wherever she goes. Originally a silver grey metallic car (according to the heritage certificate) that has at some point been restored to this splendid black and cream which really suits her, There are a few blemishes but that is to be expected on an 80 year old car, but this really doesn't detract from the appeal in my opinion.
In my ownership she has had the radiator stripped and cleaned as she was running a tad warm and also the cylinder head has been off pressure tested and skimmed too, as there were concerns this was causing the hot running. This has all been remedied now and she has fantastic oil pressure too, I would trust this car to take me anywhere and we did having completed a 300 mile round trip last summer in her.
There are a few small issues, unfortunately the sunroof appears stuck, I really haven't wanted to force this for fear of causing damage. and the rev gauge isn't working due to being unable to find a long enough cable, although it does work as I have tested it.
She would be a fantastic addition to anyone with a wedding car business, as this is what I believe the previous owner used to do to aid maintenance bills.
I will be very sorry to part with her having wanted one for a very long time.
