NG TF Kit Registration PDV974G – 1984 Build based on 1969 MGB
This workmanlike car runs and drives nicely whilst offering ample scope for upgrade projects and personalisation. Always garaged and relatively few miles since restoration. On the road since 1984, it is registered on the V5c as an “NG TF Kit”, is Tax Exempt, MOT to 8th July 2027 and taxed to 1st June 2027. Professionally sandblasted and painted wire wheels with knock-on spinners. Mota-Lita steering wheel, black trim and carpets. Fitted half tonneau, unfitted Perspex side screens. Stainless steel exhaust, 5 new Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 tyres. Lots of receipts and paperwork including original kit receipt.
This car has been lovingly cared for during its lifetime and has only covered 1627 miles since rebuild in 2016. Owned by an extremely capable mechanic as a result has never wanted for anything, engine was completely rebuilt in 2016, and extensive refurbishment undertaken of the suspension, wheels, tyres, brakes with disks on the front & drums on the rear, various instruments replaced, as were the headlights, which now provide good vision and safe driving at night. USB and 12-volt power sockets were installed behind the rather, small glove box to enable use of a sat nav, and for phone charging. A tow bar is fitted which has only ever been used to tow a small camping trailer.
Vehicle is correctly registered historic vehicle as an NG TF Kit; the donor car was an MGB first registered in March 1969, and records indicate that it was converted prior to May 1984. It is fully serviced, maintained and running like a dream, standard MG 4 speed manual gearbox with over drive on 3rd & 4th gears, starts first time every time.
It is tax free and, though it does not require a MOT one is carried out every year. Car has been dry stored since 2016.
It comes with a tonneau cover offering weather protection when parked, the tonneau can be unzipped allowing driver access while keeping the rest of the car covered. The ‘pram’ work for a hood is there and can be seen on the photos but there is no hood with the car.

To the surprise of other road users Twin SU carburettors and a 1. 8 litre, 4-cylinder engine on a light frame provide enough power to weight ratio, to enable you to keep pace with modern traffic. August 2025 saw it touring the coasts of Devon and Cornwall covering some 534 miles without fault whilst turning many heads along the way. With its low profile and agile cornering, touring along the Devon and Cornwall coast roads was a dream.
