Description
I am re-advertising my Austin FL1 at a much reduced amount as health issues make it difficult for me to finish this project. This is a rare 1950 Austin FL1 limo with Brown interior and Black and Maroon bodywork which is in good solid condition (as is the chassis) for a 76 year old car. The Maroon side panels were added (with the permission of the Metropolitan Police in London ) to commemorate the late Queen Elizabeth 2nd coronation in 1953. Inside it is mostly original with good leather seats and side panels, dickie seats in the back care very good. Old wooden floor boards have been replaced and period matching carpet added. The engine was serviced, new points, plugs, coil. The original working indicator arms have been supplimented by front and rear flashing indicators, reverse light and a high density rear fog light has been added also the front spot lights all work. Whilst it is not perfect it certainly gets the attention it deserves at the recent classic car shows I have attended. With a bit of fettling I think it could be a real show stopper and worth possibly two or three times the asking price of £3900 ono.
