Description
A unique 1971 Leyland Mini Cooper S 1275 (1293). In very good condition both inside (newly fitted interior) and out. Restored to mint condition in 1997 using partly upgraded original parts. It has been registered continuously since then and has been regularly serviced. The engine runs perfectly. The paintwork shows no damage such as dents or scratches and has been treated with anti-rust sealant. The straight-cut gearbox changes gear perfectly. Bore enlarged to 1293 cc with Omega aluminium pistons, approx. 95 PS. Longer gear ratios for higher top speed. Hotter road camshaft. Lightweight crankshaft. Everything finely balanced. 2 x HS 4 carburettors. Many further technical improvements. Interior almost as good as new. Completely new electrical system, new wiring harness. Sports seats with headrests. Hydrolastic suspension overhauled. Adjustable front shock absorbers. 4. 5-inch Minilite aluminium rims. New front disc brakes. Aluminium rear brake drums. Three-phase alternator, reinforced starter motor, lead-free Longman cylinder head, big-bore manifolds, stainless steel exhaust system. All relevant modifications registered.
