205 GTI 1. 6 non sunroof version in Miami blue. A rare, unmolested example, fastidiously kept throughout with impeccable history and vast array of receipts. Complete with original Peugeot owners and service booklets Inc. Original Peugeot Lioncare Members Handbook 1990/ 1991, Dealer network directory, Radio Manual and original MOT certificates from 1995.(photos attached of mot’s). Too many invoices to photograph but available if needed.
Between 2009 and 2019 the car was SORN and kept in dry storage to keep mileage down and preserve as future classic whilst also undergoing some minor restoration listed in details below. In 2016 the car was MOT'd to be photographed for Octane Magazine in a feature on McLaren Employee vehicles, taking centre stage at the front of the group shots. Octane pictures by James Lipman.
The bodywork is in very good condition all round with mostly original paint, there are some very minor marks along with a couple of minor stone chips on bonnet but nothing significant. Some toe-rag did try to break in/ steal it once and has left a small screwdriver mark next to the passenger door lock but again this is minor and decided it was better to leave. The roof paint does have some blemishes as a result of leaving a poor quality car cover on during a very hot day unfortunately but decided I was better to leave as is rather than touch original paint - please see pics.

Exterior:
Very much of the exterior paintwork is original apart from lower section of drivers door that has recently been professionally treated and re-sprayed due to a small area of paint starting to bubble (approximately the size of a . 50p coin).
In 2019 the front left inner wing has been professionally repaired (under washer bottle) with small section replaced behind LH lamp along with a tiny area of the boot floor (approx size of . 10p coin) being dressed and treated due to seam sealer perishing in both wheel arches and road water penetrating the metal.
Original Wheels professionally refurbished 2019 - lacquer had been coming away on centre face and inside of wheels.
Underside, inner wings and spare wheel cradle has been professionally refreshed with anti rust zinc coating and body colour Raptor(R) stone chip protection.
Body trims are in very good condition apart from slight blemish on right hand corner of rear bumper, this has been improved using Sugru (TM) mouldable glue which has an excellent likeness to the original finish and only noticeable on close inspection
Rear Beam bushes changed in 2009 before being SORN, beam repainted in 2019.
Engine bay:
In 2013 the engine and gearbox were removed and underwent a strip down and clean with the following work completed @ 64, 853 miles:
Cylinder head aqua blasted and sealed using high temperature lacquer
Cylinder head valves re-faced
Engine mounts and inlet manifold aqua blasted and sealed using high temp. lacquer
Throttle body ultrasonically cleaned
New Cambelt, water pump, Fuel filter, coolant transfer pipe, air filter, head gasket, valve stem oil seals, spark plugs, cylinder head bolts and alternator belt fitted when engine rebuilt
Gearbox cleaned and painted with high temp engine enamel
Engine block cleaned and painted with high temp engine enamel
New HT leads fitted in 2016

Service and MOT history:
Service book: 1000 ('91), 6000('92) and 12, 000(recorded at 15K in '96) mile service stamps
Very low ownership with only 5 previous owners before the current keeper purchased September 2022. While in my ownership I have continued to keep the vehicle well maintained. She has recently been tuned @ Pug1OFF. She now performs as she was meant to. Various parts replaced over the last four years i. e. both drive shafts, front brake hoses, recent cambelt & water pump, new alternator, new radiator, recent oil and filter change etc.
In summary this a lovely genuine standard 205 GTI in very good condition.
