Description
Needs some work but generally it fair to good condition.
Daimler Dart SP250 Black with grey leather interior.
This 1961 B-Spec Dart was originally old English white with black interior.
The colour was changed to Black in the 1970’s by the second owner.
The interior was re-trimmed in grey leather in the 1995.
Total of 4 owners the current since 1985.
The engine was fully rebuilt in 1987 by Beales in Leeds and has many stainless steel bolts etc.
The car had 59000 miles on the speedometer in 1985 and has only covered just 6000 miles since. The current speedometer replaced in 2000 reads 1874 miles.
The vehicle has a sound chassis with the B-pillars and outer sill beams having been replaced.
5 Chrome wire wheels and stainless steel exhaust.
The body does have blemishes and paint crazing but is in a presentable condition.
This isn’t a show car but is in good condition for a 65 year old car.
The gearbox is from a Daimler 250 saloon with synchromesh on all 4 gears and overdrive. This was fitted in the 1988 so doesn’t affect the MOT exemption status. The gearbox does rumble a bit but I never thought it was worth a rebuild.
Electronic ignition has been fitted.
I have list of old MOT’s and mileage record.
