Description
Lovely 1972 example of the stately Rover P5b Saloon, my preferred style.
Rover V8 motor, automatic transmission, PAS, and decent brakes, (both recently serviced). Very useable for daily traffic.
The car is painted in dark blue with a recently retrimmed interior in Bently, nappa cream leather. Carpets and door surrounds also renewed. Fitted with fitted with electric fuel pump, manual choke. It’s also fitted with inertia reel front seat belts - the tool tray is complete and there are many spare parts included (including the central steering wheel logo which will replace the existing scuffed one). Also included will be a leather steering wheel cover.
Odometer reading 66, 850 miles although this is more likely to be 166, 850 miles. The vehicle has been the subject of a major restoration over many years and has been in constant indoor storage. There are no structural or body rust issues and the engine bay is clean and impressively presentable. The car drives and stops beautifully - a new MOT will be included.
Included with the car will be a massive Leather Folio pack containing significant receipts. The vehicle has a number of cosmetic issues requiring attention (including a crack on the bonnet paint- see photograph provided). The chrome Rostyle wheels are in good condition but not perfect- the bumpers were re-chromed shortly after my acquisition but there is a slight peeling of chrome on the rear bumper.
The car is not in perfect condition but the new owner will acquire the benefit of fortunes spent on the car and will acquire the potential to secure an excellent , useable classic without major expenditure.
