For sale is my 2003 Mazda MX5 Mk2. 5 Sport Edition in classic Eternal Red, with just 45k miles on the clock.
A large folder of receipts, MOTs and original leather pack paperwork comes with the car, along with full Mazda dealer service history complete with stamps. The car has had clean MOTs throughout its entire life, with currently a valid MOT through to July 2027 and no advisories. It's ULEZ free, making it a joy to run in and around the city.
The red paint is clean, bright and very presentable throughout. The car was garage stored by myself as well as by its previous owner for 14 years which has kept it in remarkable condition. A new vinyl soft top has been fitted and the stainless steel roll bar with perspex wind deflector adds a lovely finishing touch.
Inside, the car is in like new condition. The Sport Edition sports seats are in great shape and the perforated leather 4 spoke steering wheel adds a lovely touch of character. The original radio, CD and cassette unit is still in place, keeping everything completely period correct. The leather tonneau cover is included and everything feels solid, original and very well cared for.
Under the bonnet sits the 1. 8 litre VVT engine with double overhead cam producing 146 bhp in a car weighing just over 1. 1 tonne. Mated to a slick 5 speed manual gearbox, it is genuinely great fun to drive. The cambelt and water pump have been replaced, a full engine service has been carried out and a new Yuasa battery was fitted last year, so everything is properly up to date and sorted.
The sills and arches are completely rust free, and all original factory spot welds are still present and untouched. This is rare to find on these cars these days.
This is an all original unmodified Sport Edition which from the factory came with power steering, ABS, dual SRS airbags, electric windows, electric door mirrors and heated rear windscreen. The locking wheel nut and original and original spare wheel come with the car.
This really is one of the cleanest and most original MX5 Mk2. 5s you will find at this mileage. It needs absolutely nothing and is ready to be enjoyed straight away.
