Austin Champ Manufactured 1954/ 1955 — DVLA registered 20/ 02/ 1968 - Beautifully Restored & Well Equipped with full comms equipment- A trailer is available separately
A wonderful and very rare Austin Champ 1954/ 1955, beautifully restored by my customer’s father and now ready for its next chapter.
We have recently recommissioned the fuel system and braking system, and the vehicle starts, runs and drives really well.
Powered by its distinctive Rolls-Royce engine, this Champ is also exceptionally well equipped and comes with:
* New batteries
* Full Larkspur communications system
* Aerials
* Tools
Austin Champs really shine though – not only do they have a five speed gearbox, which can be used in both directions (so you can go as fast forward as back!) but that Rolls Royce B40 engine means a great soundtrack whilst out on the road, and ample power for any safe speed too. Sophisticated fully independent suspension means it even puts the ride of many modern cars to shame – these were designed so they could fly across rough ground at just about top speed, so they make short work of any speed hump or pot hole. The driving experience is smooth, refined and very enjoyable.
A fantastic piece of British military motoring history, with the added appeal of a genuine family restoration story.
The vehicle has been recommissioned mechanically and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. A rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored and unusually complete Austin Champ.
