Description
A rare 1994 Alpina B3 3. 0 Switchtronic Coupe, this is number 87 out of 205 coupes built at Alpina's home, Buchloe Germany.
Featuring 17" Alpina hardline alloys, finished in Morea Green metallic over the sought-after Alpina textile interior, as well as the cool Alpina digital additional gauge cluster.
Featuring the brilliant M50 iron block six cylinder engine borrowed from the 2. 5, Alpina's tuning increased displacement to 3. 0 with bespoke pistons, cam shafts, exhaust, and a polished head.
Power is up from the 2. 5's standard 192hp to 250hp, with torque matching the 3. 0 M3 of the time at 320nm - though thankfully, these Alpina engines are much simpler to maintain than the equivalent M3.
Also unlike the M3, the Alpina B3 is designed less for track work, and more for easy high speed cruising. The suspension is tuned to be soft yet still sporty, with the engine providing effortless torque low down, though can easily get you in trouble if you let it rev towards its 7, 000 rpm redline.
The smooth shifting 5-speed swtichtronic gearbox is specifically tuned for Alpina, and manual control is surprisingly quick using the steering wheel controls. The B3 also features a limited slip differential to help put the power down in any weather.
It's covered 135, 000 miles, with the vast majority being in the first few years of its life.
Since then, it's been used sparingly, with maintenance kept up to date and a fully stamped service book.

The reason for sale is I have a second Alpina B3 3. 0 I'm restoring, so unfortunately I'll need to find this one a new home.
The car has been garaged in my ownership, as well as by the previous owner.
It comes with a fully stamped service book, with 25 stamps, with the most recent oil change being in 05 September 2026 at 134, 789 miles using Castrol Edge 10W60.
Tyres are 2023/ 2024 Nankang Noble sports all the way around with plenty of tread.
This year, it's had the following work done:
- Oil change with oil filter
- Limited slip differential service
- New Bosch wipers
- New fuel pump, fuel filter
- New oxygen sensor
- New oil filter housing gasket
- New thermostat gasket
- New throttle position sensor
Imperfections:
Although this car has been exceptionally well maintained, there are minor blemishes worth noting.
The interior, in typical E36 fashion, has a few bits of trim sagging. Notably, both door card lower trims, and the glovebox.
The condition of the textile is good, besides a hole on the driver's side right bolster.
The headliner has been replaced.
The exterior is in good condition, however I will point out small imperfections on your viewing which can't be picked up on camera easily.
