Description
1955 Austin Healey 100/ 4 BN1 – Cherished Ownership for 34 Years – Good Running Proposition
Owned by my parents since March 1992, this lovely Healey 100/ 4 BN1 has been part of our family for over three decades. The car was exported to Germany in 1984, underwent a thorough restoration there, and was re imported to the UK in early 1992.
From that point onwards, my parents are the only recorded owners in the logbook.
Long Term, Low Use Ownership -
During their 34 years of ownership, the car has seen extremely light use and has always been dry stored. It has been SORN and covered in their garage since 2010, which has preserved it well.
Despite the years in storage, it still presents very nicely.
Recently, the engine has been given a tune up with new leads and related items, and it starts and runs well.
Commissioning Required -
As expected with a car stored for a long period, it will need light recommissioning—primarily brakes, tyres, and general safety checks. This is not a project car; it’s a solid, running example that simply needs bringing gently back into regular use.
History & Documentation -
The car comes with:
• A large file of invoices and paperwork
• A British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate
• Documentation from its restoration and re import - This level of provenance is increasingly hard to find.
